The Mist Film Production Company has donated set items upon completion of their most recent project in Shreveport. Items from the set will be used for Habitat for Humanity projects locally. "The Mist Production crew has been very generous to Habitat for Humanity. We look forward to partnering with them again on upcoming projects" said Kristen Johnson, C.O.O.
The Mist, a Stephen King horror thriller directed by Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption), recently finished filming at the Shreveport StageWorks facility. The film is scheduled for release in November, 2007 and stars Thomas Jane, Alexa Davalos, Laurie Holden, Andre Braugher, and more. Most of the story takes place inside a small-town grocery store, where a band of citizens are held up and must fight off unworldly creatures after a storm comes through. Items donated ranged from stocked grocery store items to set construction pieces. "As a city, we are lucky to host The Mist," said Johnson. "Their desire to help our organization provide services to the Shreveport and Bossier City communities is just one more way the film industry has made a positive impact on our local economy." |
